The cruise takes place on the stunning MSC Bellissima. Enjoy beautifully prepared meals across a variety of restaurants, live entertainment, spa treatments, and peaceful moments lounging on the deck gazing at the endless ocean views. Interwoven throughout the voyage is the onboard conference, featuring a diverse and insightful group of presenters who add depth, perspective and inspiration to the experience. Everything is done for you, allowing you to sit back, enjoy, socialise, learn, discover and return home expanded and carrying a deeper connection to Japan, to yourself and your fellow soul travellers.
In Japan’s ancient wisdom, the land itself is sacred and alive. According to Shinto creation myths recorded in the Kojiki, the islands of Japan were formed by the divine union of Izanagi and Izanami, giving rise to a world where nature and spirit are inseparable. From their lineage came Amaterasu, the sun goddess and ancestral source of the imperial line, linking heaven directly to Earth.
Long before recorded history, the Jōmon culture lived in deep relationship with the land, guided by cyclical time, ritual, and animistic awareness. Japan’s ancient spiritual thread is one of harmony, reverence and presence, a living wisdom where mountains, waters, forests and stones are not symbols, but conscious participants in life itself.
From these ancient origins, Japan invites us not just to learn its story, but to walk it, beginning our Sacred Horizons journey in Tokyo. Will you join us in an unforgettable journey through Japan’s sacred landscapes and living traditions?

The Journey
If you have ever wondered about visiting Japan to take in its spiritual essence and beautiful landscapes, the cherry-blossom postcard moments, ancient traditions, temples and zen gardens, then this Sacred Horizons cruise is the way to do it. This is a curated fly–stay–cruise experience that allows you to experience Japan without the stress of planning, navigating or language barriers. Beginning and ending in Tokyo and centred around a transformative cruise through spiritually significant ports including Hiroshima, Kagoshima, Jeju, Sasebo and Kobe, every element is thoughtfully coordinated. Flights, accommodation, a three-day land tour and the cruise itself are all taken care of, so you can relax fully and simply be present with the journey as it unfolds.
Before the Cruise departs, take in 3 days exploring Tokyo and surrounds.
From the vibrant energy of Sensoji Temple and the lantern-lined streets of Nakamise, to panoramic views from Tokyo Skytree and the serenity of Ueno Park, you’ll feel the rhythm of a city where ancient shrines and future vision coexist.
We travel by bullet train into the Mt Fuji region, cruising Lake Ashi beneath the watchful presence of Japan’s most revered mountain, visiting shrines, torii gates and volcanic landscapes that have been honoured for centuries.
The land journey completes in Kamakura, home to the Great Buddha and sacred temples.
Then, the Sacred Horizons Japan Cruise will depart from Tokyo’s international cruise port, Yokohama. Our first port will be Hiroshima to open the journey with a profound field of remembrance and heart activation. Many experience a quiet softening here, where collective grief transforms into compassion, forgiveness and unity. Just offshore, the floating torii gate of Miyajima marks the threshold between worlds, a sacred reminder of the meeting point between the human and the divine.
Kagoshima brings the elemental power of fire and earth. Overlooking Sakurajima, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, this region carries a grounding, purifying current that anchors awareness into the body and personal power. Inland, the misty Kirishima Mountains, revered in Shinto mythology as the place where the divine descended to Earth, create a palpable heaven-to-earth gateway that supports embodiment and renewal.
Jeju Island, South Korea, offers a softer yet deeply ancient presence. Formed entirely through volcanic activity and steeped in indigenous shamanic tradition, it is often felt as nurturing and feminine, a place of emotional clearing, ancestral connection and quiet recalibration where intuition sharpens and the nervous system unwinds.
Sasebo introduces a dreamlike passage through the famed 99 islands of Kujukushima. This intricate scattering of forested isles and tidal channels forms a liminal landscape where boundaries soften and perception widens. Many experience this region as quietly mystical, supporting deep listening, subconscious clearing and a more fluid sense of self.
Kobe provides the gentle integration point of the journey. Nestled between mountains and sea, it carries a calm, heart-centred coherence that allows insights to settle and experiences to knit together. It is a place of balance and quiet strength, preparing us to return to Tokyo with clarity and presence.
