Chasing the Light on Norfolk Island

Last year, acclaimed landscape photographer Ken Duncan and well-known TV host Ray Martin, visited Norfolk Island to create a short film about the small island half way between Australia and New Zealand. The doco aired on SBS in April and it was a stunning visual presentation of life on Norfolk Island.

Ray Martin says “The documentary is about finding yourself, realising where we live and what we’ve got at our doorstep,” Martin adds. “Norfolk Island is magical and up to now it’s been the secret jewel in the necklace of Australian tourism.”

The island is a secret jewel for the powerful energies, light codes and Lemurian connections! Even if Ray doesn't realise it, he picked up on the 'magick' of this enchanted rock in the South Pacific.

Magick is finding your connection to the Earth and all that is natural, alive and moving in the universe! It binds all that exists together.

Magick is living in balance with the flow of life, and knowing that you are a vital force within that flow.

Magick is everywhere! In the trees, rain, stars, and in the sea. It is the spark that quickens a seed to rise up from the soil.

Magick is laughter, joy, wonder and truth of the world around us!

It is the subtle enchantment that reminds us not to waste a single moment of this gift that we call life!

Magick is not greed, or power, or pretense...It is real. It exists. And it works.

Magick is the mystery that lies in the secret soul of the world. It is the essence of creation. What we imagine, we have the power to create!

With it, you can create your dreams, heal your world, love your life and find the peace that lives in every human heart.

We highly recommend that you check out 'Chasing the Light'. The cinematography is beautiful, and a local Norfolk Islander and photographer, Zach, captures gorgeous drone footage. The photographs that Ken Duncan captures are some of the best of his work. Look out for one at the end with the rainbow! His Norfolk Island photography exhibition is about to launch on 2 July.

Ken Duncan has captured the very essence of this Pacific Jewel. “Visiting Norfolk Island is like stepping back in time to an era when life was far simpler,” said Ken. “The island is uncrowded, with a wealth of natural beauty, and a fascinating, multi-layered history of seafarers, convicts and mutineers.”

Ken’s new exhibition will transport you to the most spectacular corners of Norfolk Island and immerse you in its beauty and history. From tranquil beaches and rugged coastlines to glorious sunsets and glimpses of a colonial past, Ken’s Norfolk Island images will surprise and delight you.
