Papua New Guinea, The Mothership & the Magic In Between

Our first onboard conference, on the Carnival Encounter to Papua New Guinea, was a smashing success. We couldn’t have hoped or dreamt of a better outcome.

There were so many highlights, it’s hard to name just a few, but the beautiful quality of people who came along and the connections that formed along the way were definitely a major standout. The Conference was amazing, and the spaciousness of the 9 days at sea presented so much bonding.

The Mothership

We were allocated a ‘conference room’ which was actually the nightclub called Altitude. It was perched atop the ship on Deck 17, on a level of its own. At first we struggled with how to accommodate everyone in the space and worried about the logistics. But we had to remind ourselves that it wasn’t a conference centre, it was a cruise ship, and everyone just embraced it. We worked together to find the best way to make it work.

As it turned out, it ended up becoming one of our favourite places on the ship.

With almost full ocean views, the swaying of the ship, and being tucked away from the rest of the vessel, we ended up loving it. The meditations took people so deep because of the movement, like being rocked in a cradle. It fondly became known as The Mothership and at times we felt like we might indeed take off into the cosmos.

The Conference

We had six days at sea, broken up with amazing presentations and workshops. The programme was exceptional, even if we do say so ourselves lol!

Doug McIntyre was first in the line-up and gave a compelling presentation about the CIA’s dark agenda, focusing on their travels to PNG to study tribal knowledge of trance states. He took everyone through a journey of understanding how MKUltra and mind control programmes have been used on the masses through television and other means. He also shared his own personal journey of surviving SRA and MKUltra. He moved everyone deeply and had many profound conversations with audience members over the remainder of the cruise.

Cynthya Popperwell’s name had literally been whispered in the ear of conference producer Kathryn during the planning of the cruise, and for good reason. Cynthya gave a powerful presentation and beautiful meditation. We connected to our Lemurian heritage and many learned their Lemurian name.

We learnt about The Lemurian Choir History and Dr Todd Ovokaity’s role as the channel and recall of ancient tones, Pleiadian Time Capsules, the concept of multidimensional DNA and its spheres, including the Lemurian Spheres, specifically the Revealed Divinity, the Master Akashic Record and the Healing Sphere, Soul Tones, the nine attributes of the human being, Gaia’s Grid, the magnetic, crystalline and cetacean connections to Earth’s consciousness, and more.

In fact, Cynthya gave her presentation wearing one of Dr Todd’s scarves and we spoke of him often that day. It was a fitting tribute to his work, only to discover as our ship docked back in Brisbane that he had made the transition back home.

The amazing trio of Deborah McGovern, David Trew and Ian Wrigley took us on an incredible journey of sound healing and breathwork. Their combined healing session saw people experience breakthrough moments. One participant, who had been running meditations herself for decades, said, “That was the best meditation I’ve ever done.” Someone else commented it was the best breathwork session they’d ever done. There was a strong theme of dolphins, whales and mermaids. Some called in their totem spirits. Others released long-held trauma from their bodies. Others dropped into a deep meditative state.

Surrounded by the ocean for protection and lulled into relaxation by the gentle swaying of the ship, it was a very special session. David ran the breathwork and Deb and Ian provided the sound with a huge set-up of drums, bowls and windpipes. David added the flute. And a highlight, Deborah’s vocal toning broke open heart chakras and released emotion and tears. Hear a snippet of Deborah's beautiful vocal toning HERE.

Jacqueline Hofste presented a beautiful talk about archetypes. She guided us through the concept of archetypes as a framework for understanding our personal journey from fate to destiny. Archetypes are patterns of personality that mature over a lifetime and reveal your soul contract. Her presentation moved through three layers, Fate, Soul and Destiny archetypes, each building on the last to help participants discover their higher purpose. We gained a lot of insight into ourselves and others, with really practical tools to take away.

And finally, Dr Steven Booth’s presentation was last, but definitely not least.

Steven is a master lightworker and acupuncturist and his presentation covered a lot of ground, from Crystalline Waters and the 13 gateways, resonant memory and how water participates in information, a new humanity and adapting to new ways of being, learning about the lightbody and how to activate it and why, and the foundations of sacred geometry.

As we were in PNG near Grid Point (UVG) 27, Steven also shared his research into the fire and water energies of that vortex. He taught us about new encoding patterns and geometric intelligence. As an acupuncturist he was able to share a phenomenal practical way to activate our lightbody and showed us the practice we can do daily. His presentation was truly mind-blowing, packed with incredible information.

Another extra add-on was one of our delegates, Philip Jamieson, who had been born in Rabaul, PNG, so he joined the cruise to revisit his place of birth. His history there goes back through his father and grandfather for over 100 years. He had also been initiated into one of the local tribes.

Philip spent an evening up in The Mothership talking about his PNG experiences and life amongst the locals. It was such an interesting insight into life through the eyes of someone with such a strong history there. He fielded questions for another hour after his talk ended. We think we may have found another speaker for a future event, his knowledge across many topics is extensive.

Healing and Expansion

Somewhere amongst all of that, something else happened.

What started as a conference room became something far more. The Mothership became a field of coherence, activation and remembrance. It felt like we created a vortex together, something energetic that didn’t just switch off when the sessions ended. Many went into a healing phase.

Just over a week on, many of us are still feeling it. That strange mix of feeling a little lost, yet deeply expanded. Lost because the physical container is gone, the routines, faces and daily immersion have stopped. Expanded because something in us opened, and once consciousness stretches, it rarely contracts back to where it was.

The Mothership Vortex is still very much alive, and many of us are still integrating what was created there.

Ah, life on board

On top of the absolutely amazing conference, we enjoyed all aspects of cruise ship life. Great comedy shows and entertainment, restaurants, lazy sundeck moments, the spa with sauna and steam room, and massages.

For the young at heart (and there were quite a few), there were waterslide competitions, David Trew seemed to be the winner!

And best of all, lots of time just chatting and bonding, getting to know each other, small tribes within the tribe forming as people connected more intimately.

Cruise life is easy when there’s no grocery shopping, cooking or cleaning, that’s for sure. It left a lot more time to do the things we love, reading, meditating, socialising, self-care, time in the sun, fresh air, watching the horizon, and sun-gazing at sunrise and sunset.

Then there was the location itself.

Papua New Guinea.

Wow. Just sublime.

We were not disappointed by the raw beauty of PNG. It truly was paradise. Crystal-clear waters, lush tropical greenery, the adorable kids and their pure lifestyles, such innocence and joy to witness.

The tribal dancing was incredible, the wood carvings, the potency of the energies there, so much to captivate us. Whether it was swimming in the crystal waters, drinking freshly plucked coconut water, feeling the steam rising from the volcanic hot springs, taking in the mountain views, the ancient peaks, the faces in the rocks, and everything else our senses absorbed, it was such an amazing journey.

One of the few remaining places where commercialism hasn’t taken over and natural beauty still reigns.

The journey onwards

This cruise was almost two years in the making, and looking back now, every delay, every challenge, every unknown was worth it.

And now, as one sacred journey closes, another is already calling.

In April 2027 we set sail again, this time to Japan for the Sacred Horizons Japan Experience. A completely different energy, ancient temples, powerful land activations, soul-expanding workshops, and a journey through one of the most fascinating countries on Earth.

If PNG was about deep connection, release and remembrance, Japan feels like it will be a sacred spiral of awakening, heart expansion, restoration and integration.

.

If this cruise taught us anything, it’s that alchemy doesn’t come from perfection, it comes from authenticity. From real people, real connection and a willingness to simply show up.Thanks to Team Light PNG for an amazing adventure together.
